Real structure. Clearer rhythm. Predictable recovery.

FAQ

High-drive dogs need structure, pacing, and predictable output.
This FAQ covers how SPENT works, who it’s for, and what owners can expect.

Why Normal Routines Don’t Work

Your dog doesn’t need another walk. They need output.

1. What exactly is SPENT?

SPENT is structured running with controlled pacing for high-drive and fast-recovery dogs.
It creates predictable output and predictable recovery, which supports smoother evenings and clearer weekly rhythm at home.

No.
Walking is low-intensity movement.
Daycare is chaotic and overstimulating.
Training provides mental structure.

SPENT delivers physical structure through controlled running and consistent weekly work.
It is its own category.

No.
SPENT supports training by helping dogs show up with clearer focus and more stable recovery patterns.
Training still addresses the skills.
SPENT regulates the foundation.

SPENT is not exhaustion-based.
We use steady pacing and consistent rhythm, not intensity spikes.
Predictability comes from structure — not fatigue.

SAFETY & SUITABILITY

5. Is running safe for my dog?

Yes.
We only run dogs who are physically ready. During the placement run, we assess pacing, form, and recovery ability before establishing a weekly plan.

SPENT is designed for dogs with:

  • high drive

  • fast recovery

  • working-line or working-type traits

  • difficulty settling after routine activity

  • overstimulation in chaotic environments

  • inconsistent evening behavior

If a dog isn’t a fit for structured running, we’ll tell you directly.

Then SPENT isn’t the appropriate program.
We are specialized by design.

SPENT is not behavior modification.

We can work with dogs who are:

  • underworked

  • restless

  • easily overstimulated

We do not take dogs with:

  • aggression

  • bite history

  • unstable reactivity

Selectivity protects safety and outcomes.

PROCESS & LOGISTICS

9. What happens during the Test Run?

We evaluate your dog’s drive type, natural pace, recovery profile, and how they respond to structured work.
You’ll receive a clear recommendation for weekly rhythm.

Long enough to produce meaningful, regulated output without overstimulation.
Session length is based on:

  • drive

  • pacing range

  • recovery

  • consistency

We do not run by the clock.

Frequency depends on biology, not convenience.

General guidelines:

  • 1–2 sessions per week for moderate drive

  • 2–3 sessions per week for high drive

  • 3× weekly for working-line or fast-recovery dogs

The test run determines the correct rhythm

We prioritize traction and safety.
See the Weather FAQ below for details.

No.
Sessions can happen while you’re at work if access is approved.

Yes, if both dogs can maintain pacing safely.
Some dogs require individual sessions.

BEHAVIOR & RESULTS

15. How fast will I see results?

Most owners notice changes within the first few sessions.
Patterns depend on:

  • drive level

  • recovery speed

  • weekly consistency

SPENT creates steady improvements through rhythm — not single events.

Common observations:

  • smoother evenings

  • quicker settling after sessions

  • fewer pacing loops

  • clearer transitions in the home

  • more predictable weekly behavior

  • better focus during training

These come from structured work, not intensity.

Your dog will be regulated, not depleted.
SPENT produces steady-state output, not collapse.

PRICING, FREQUENCY & COMMITMENT

18. Why is SPENT more expensive than walking or daycare?

Because SPENT is not walking or daycare.

Pricing reflects:

  • 1:1 structured work

  • pacing control

  • controlled terrain

  • predictable weekly cycles

  • a narrow specialization

SPENT is a technical service for specific dogs.

Your dog’s biology determines the plan.
We recommend the correct rhythm after the test run.

We allow adjustments that do not disrupt your dog’s structure.
See the cancellation policy below.

POLICIES & BOUNDARIES

21. Do you run dogs who pull, zig-zag, or act unpredictably on leash?

Yes, if the behavior is drive-based and manageable.
No if it’s unsafe or related to aggression.

We pause running until cleared for physical work.

Rarely.
High-drive dogs benefit from scheduled rhythm, not unpredictability.

We follow a simple cancellation window.
Sessions outside that window are counted because schedule consistency is part of the structure.

Because high-drive dogs require precision.
Trying to serve every dog weakens outcomes.

Specialization protects:

  • clarity

  • safety

  • pacing integrity

  • consistent rhythm

WEATHER FAQ

26. Do you run in rain, snow, or extreme weather?

No.
SPENT sessions require dry, safe conditions for consistent pacing and traction.

SPENT makes the final call.
Decisions are set by:

  • 7 AM for morning sessions

  • 2 PM for afternoon sessions

This keeps scheduling predictable.

The session rolls forward within the same week.
No refunds or monthly credits.

CANCELLATION / REFUND FAQ

29. Are monthly plans refundable?

No.
Plans are non-refundable once the first session of the cycle begins.

Yes — with 24 hours’ notice, if slots remain that week.
Same-day cancellations are forfeited.

Plans cannot be paused.
You can re-enroll at any time.

No.
Test Runs are fully paid and non-refundable because the slot is reserved specifically for evaluation.
